This typically-boisterous boomtown attracted fortune-seekers from near and far, whose relatives sent them away with the castaway call, "To hell you ride." Many say that's how Telluride got its name.Telluride sits in a box canyon and steep forested mountains and cliffs surround it. Spectacular Bridal Veil Falls is at the head of the canyon. Numerous weathered ruins of old mining operations dot the hillsides. A free gondola connects the town with its companion town Mountain Village, Colorado on the other side of the ridge.

Find a roommate in Carson City, NV!

Carson City, NV is the capital of the state Nevada. Like many towns in Nevada, Carson City was founded in the boom days of mining. A center of silver mining, Carson City was the county seat of the former Ormsby County and was named for explorer Kit Carson.
